The Virkplan business platform manages the rollout of 3,000 charging stations for EWII.

02 November 2023

Virkplan has delivered consulting services to EWII for several years. The collaboration has now been expanded with the Virkplan business platform, which manages the rollout of 3,000 charging stations for EWII.

The Virkplan business platform includes both Business Intelligence and Project. The Project solution makes it possible to manage complex projects involving a large number of stakeholders and tasks. At each EWII charging site, there are typically six charging units, resulting in around 25 subtasks distributed across eight different actors. These actors include both internal and external parties, such as project managers, installers, surveyors, and others.

The solution provides all parties with access to the platform via mobile or PC, ensuring that the project plan continuously reflects reality. Having all stakeholders register their activities on the platform can save significant time and, ultimately, costs, while also helping ensure that the rollout plan stays on track.

Overview and fast processes
Operation Manager at EWII Commercial Infrastructure, Anders Hørning, explains:
“We have worked with Virkplan for several years and know them very well. The latest expansion of our collaboration, with access to their business platform, has been extremely beneficial for the rollout of our charging stations. We have a strong overview of the project through customized dashboards, and it’s easy to add users, which greatly simplifies the process. One of Virkplan’s real strengths is their ability to understand challenges quickly and deliver solutions just as fast. They don’t overcomplicate issues and are agile and receptive to our input. As a customer, you can always find something that could be improved, but overall, we are very satisfied with Virkplan.”

Anders Hørning continues:
“We also save a lot of time by using Virkplan’s platform, and there is a much lower risk of errors in the project. That is crucial. At the same time, we can clearly feel that we are an important customer to Virkplan, which is always positive in a customer–supplier relationship. In fact, I believe most of Virkplan’s customers feel the same way, because they are truly passionate about what they do.”

Important data collection ensures smooth operations
During the rollout, important data about the charging stations is collected on the business platform. Serial numbers, QR codes, and various work documents are scanned and registered for each individual charging station. This makes it much easier to operate and maintain the infrastructure in the future and to handle any fault reports related to the charging units or their installation.
