Unitas Rejser gains a clear overview of the costs of its sold trips and the resulting profit.
Unitas Rejser is owned by KFUM and KFUK in Denmark. All profits go toward supporting the organization’s work with children and young people, but Unitas Rejser is operated as a professional travel company with a strong focus on financial key figures and market performance. For this reason, they invested in a BI solution from Virkplan several years ago, and after appointing a new CEO in October, they are now fully engaged in further developing the solution.
CEO of Unitas Rejser, Jesper Damgaard, explains:
“We use Virkplan’s BI solution for many things today. We produce CO₂ accounting for our customers, which they use in their sustainability reporting, we gain financial insight into our business, and we get an overview of our markets in Denmark, Norway, and the Netherlands, among others. But we can see even more potential. After six months at Unitas Rejser and with a background from a completely different industry, I look at the solution with fresh eyes. That has initiated a development process where, together with Virkplan, we further enhance the solution. We bounce ideas back and forth and jointly arrive at what we want. I truly appreciate that. Virkplan is, overall, a very strong partner for us. They quickly understand where we want to go and translate ideas into solutions we can actually use.”

Unitas Rejser gains a clear overview of the costs of its sold trips and the resulting profit. They are able to deliver CO₂ accounting for travel, which is particularly important for humanitarian organizations. In addition, they can closely monitor the business through the dashboards they have selected.
