Therefore, through their IT provider ECIT, Wheat entered into a collaboration with Virkplan. They have had a Virkplan Business Intelligence solution implemented that integrates seamlessly with SPY, Business Central, and several other of Wheat’s systems, bringing everything together in one shared overview.
Significant time savings
CEO Thomas Frederiksen from Wheat explains:
“We have launched a three-stage initiative with Virkplan, and in the first phase—which has been implemented—we have gained an overview of finance, sales, and inventory management. This includes monthly reports, profit and loss statements, and more. It has saved us enormous amounts of time that the data is gathered in one place, and it provides both management and sales teams with a detailed overview that can be accessed 24/7.
In the second phase, which has been initiated and is expected to be completed in approximately three weeks, we will gain a detailed overview of our e-commerce activities, including website visitors, conversion rates, return rates, customer inquiries, and more. E-commerce is a major part of our business, and in order to choose the right initiatives, this is extremely important knowledge to have consolidated in the same system. It gives us a fantastic opportunity to navigate and make decisions on a daily basis.”
Wheat has applied for EU funding through SMV Digital to co-finance phase two, which has been approved. In phase three, the purchasing department will be implemented in the BI solution, enabling Wheat to quickly gain an overview of when goods arrive and can be released for campaigns.
An outstanding collaboration
Thomas Frederiksen continues:
“We entered into the collaboration with Virkplan at the recommendation of ECIT, and we have not regretted it. We have an outstanding partnership, and they were extremely quick to understand our business and translate that knowledge into visual overviews we can actually use. At the same time, the process has been—and continues to be—really strong. We got up and running quickly, among other things through full-day on-site sessions, which truly drive progress.”
Thomas Frederiksen concludes:
