Just under a year and a half ago, the collaboration between Virkplan and NIZE Equipment began. A partnership that emerged despite the fact that the company was not initially aware that their existing solutions could be made far more efficient and time-saving. They had not yet discovered Business Intelligence—today, it is an important part of their business management.

The first dashboard the company developed in PilotBI provided an overview of their maintenance activities, drawing data from their CRM system. This enables the service manager to plan service visits across the Nordic region quickly and efficiently. At the same time, it is now possible to see which other customers will soon require service on their machines, allowing multiple visits to be combined—saving money for both NIZE and their customers.
Since then, additional dashboards have continuously been developed, and the company now has a total of 10 dashboards. Data is pulled from three different systems in total. Individually, these systems cannot present the specific combinations of figures NIZE wants to see. With PilotBI, they can extract exactly the figures they need and compare data across all systems.
In addition, the design has been updated. Usability and visual appearance are important when working with the system on a daily basis.

In the sales department, the business platform is used by salespeople who can quickly gain an overview of how individual customers are performing. This enables them to be well prepared before a sales call—understanding how the customer is doing, and whether it makes sense to discuss upselling additional equipment, and so on.
Another successful project has been the development of a liquidity dashboard. Previously, calculating liquidity was a slow and highly complex process, and the figures would almost immediately become outdated. For this reason, it was important for NIZE to have a dashboard where they could continuously monitor the company’s liquidity.
At the management level, the platform has also delivered significant time savings. Lars, CEO of NIZE, no longer spends a great deal of time preparing presentations for meetings with banks, auditors, or investors. Instead, he simply opens the platform, selects the quarters and figures he wants to review, and can instantly compare different metrics and view them in visual charts.
For Lars, Virkplan has led to a shift in business focus. Everything is now viewed more visually, and all departments find it easier to document their work.

The latest project being developed with Virkplan is a Trello-based dashboard used for task management. The goal is to create a faster and clearer overview of the company’s highly complex Trello task lists. This enables management to quickly and easily see how far employees have progressed with the many different checklists.

When a salesperson has closed a deal, their job is technically done. However, during the two months that may pass before delivery takes place, they still care about whether the customer is receiving the right information—are they satisfied, and how informed are they if contacted again? With the new dashboard in PilotBI, employees can quickly answer these questions.
