Virkplan Projects is one of Virkplan’s modules. It can be used as a stand alone solution but will always include Power BI reports for portfolio overview. If the full Virkplan package is desired, additional modules can be purchased with a 50% discount.

Virkplan Projects is a standardized solution that makes it quick and easy to get started – without long implementation phases or technical complexity. This means that from day one, the focus is on your workflows, your daily operations, and the value the solution is meant to create.
Although the solution is standardized, we take the implementation seriously. We facilitate the process, train users, and follow up continuously to ensure that Virkplan Projects becomes a natural part of daily operations.
1. Clarification of workflows and goals
The implementation begins with a clarification of your workflows, roles, and goals. Here, we focus on how work is carried out today and where there is potential for better overview, less administration, and more standardized task execution. The goal is to take your daily operations as the starting point and connect them to a proven standard – not to build a custom solution..
2.Fast onboarding with the standard solution
Virkplan Projects is a standardized solution that can be put into use quickly. Projects, tasks, workflows, and roles are configured based on field service best practices, ensuring that the solution works from day one. This means fewer choices, less complexity, and a solution that is easy to understand and maintain.
3. Getting started without integrations – using imported data
In many cases, the solution is initially used without integrations to ERP and other systems. Instead, imported data is used, allowing workflows, registrations, and overview to be tested in practice. This approach makes it possible to test the solution, gain experience, and ensure value before investing in integrations. At the same time, a solid data foundation is established, which can later be expanded.
4. User training with a focus on daily operations
Users are introduced to Virkplan Projects with a focus on their roles and daily work. Technicians are trained in tasks, registration, and documentation in the field, while office staff gain overview of planning, follow-up, and management. The training is practical and targeted, ensuring that the solution quickly becomes a natural part of everyday operations.
5. Ongoing evaluation and optimization of processes
Once the solution is in operation, we follow up and continuously evaluate how workflows are functioning. Together, we adjust processes, structure, and use of the solution to increase value over time. The focus is on supporting efficient operations and ensuring that the solution evolves in line with the organization’s needs.
6. Reporting and portfolio overview in Power BI
In parallel with or after the initial go-live, reporting in Power BI is established. This process differs from the rest of the implementation, as it typically involves additional stakeholders such as management, project owners, and finance. The focus is on portfolio overview and insight across projects – including key figures for progress, resource consumption, and financials. Reporting is based on standard reports, which can be adapted to your governance needs and expanded over time.
7. Integrations – when the solution has been proven
When workflows have been tested, users are familiar with the solution, and reporting is creating value, integrations with ERP, finance, and other systems can be established. At this point, requirements are clear, and the integrations support the business – rather than driving the process.
